FURLONG VISION CORRECTION

Gift of Sight Program

About the Program:

Dr. Furlong started the Gift of Sight (GOS) program in 2002. This annual, charitable program provides comprehensive consultations, Advanced Topography-Guided Custom LASIK,  Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) procedures, Keratoconus treatment and post-operative appointments at no cost for up to 10 deserving individuals in strong need of vision correction.  Furlong Vision Correction is honored to have received the Jefferson Award for the Gift of Sight Program. Now in its 23rd year, the Gift of Sight program has donated over $1,288,000 in services and life-changing procedures.

“Each year, my staff and I are so inspired by the stories of our Gift of Sight patients, many of whom have faced challenges along with having poor vision. We are grateful and privileged to be able to improve the lives of these very deserving individuals.” – Dr. Michael Furlong

In addition to working with local, non-profit organizations, we continue to provide vision correction services to deserving individuals nominated by community members and partnering optometrists. Our non-profit partners have included work2 future, Hope Services, The Cost of Courage Foundation, American Cancer Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Team Red, White and Blue and the Diabetes Society.

Deadline to apply: August 31st, 2024
