WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
As a Furlong Vision Correction nearsighted, farsighted or astigmatic patient, you are automatically included in The Furlong Vision Promise. The eligibility requirements are that the initial treatment was received at Furlong Vision Correction and that your eye is in good health. Enhancement is subject to the medical advisability of the procedure and that vision loss is not the result of disease, injury or the development of presbyopia. Please ask us for complete details about our Promise when you come in for your appointment.
WHY WE RECOMMEND ANNUAL EYE EXAMS
Having vision correction surgery reduces your dependence on glasses or contacts but you should still have regular check-ups. Although we do not require annual eye exams, we stand with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and its recommendation that adults get regular exams to screen for eye diseases like glaucoma and macular degeneration. Early detection of these problems, some of which have no symptoms, provides for more successful treatment options. In addition, regular eye exams allow us to establish the stability of your visual prescription over time and pinpoint your precise enhancement plan.
WHAT SETS US APART FROM THE COMPETITION?
Furlong Vision Correction offers more than laser vision correction. Our board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeons offer cataract, RLE and ICL procedures using advanced lens technology and corneal cross-linking for keratoconus or ectasia patients. Other clinics may refer you to another surgeon for your non-laser vision correction needs. Other LASIK clinics may also offer an enhancement, but there may be a cost involved.
